Tumbleweed
From El Paso, we drove through New Mexico and into Arizona to spend time in Tucson.
During our drive through New Mexico we had some pretty good wind. You definitely feel these gusts more in a motorhome than a car… so it was a bit of a slow drive for us.
The fun part about a windy drive in New Mexico was the tumbleweed blowing across the road. It felt very cartoonish to me.
I tried to get videos, but they never do it justice and I have a knack for stopping the video right before a great one crossed in front of us. Ugh!
I’m sure you’ll enjoy the filthy windshield as well… It’s a big windshield and it is not a friend of the bugs.
Since we were driving midweek instead of on a weekend, Patsy and Mike had to get some work done along the way. Vlade worked on looking extra handsome… he’s almost perfected it.
Oh look… there’s that Not-so-Grande river again! Got some pix of the Rio Grande as we crossed it in New Mexico.
A couple more random pix we got that day… We crossed the Continental Divide, which is always cool to see. And, we were so close to the US/Mexico border at one point that we had to drive through a customs checkpoint.
Can’t wait to show off our time in Tucson, we hit another National Park and it did NOT disappoint!
