Reuniting with Lebanon Family

We arrived in Lebanon, OR 7/8 and have been reconnecting with our Oregon family and friends since. My parents and nephew & fam live in Lebanon (75 miles south of Portland), our kids are up near Portland, and our friends are mostly in Portland… so we have been back and forth a couple times so far.

Here is a photo dump of our time catching up with family in Lebanon so far. Enjoy!

My nephew Joe has three kiddos. The girls are in 4H and we were in Lebanon the week they were at fair showing their sheep. The youngest, Dodge, is too young to show yet, but was such a patient brother! We even got to spend a day at the fair with the kids and watch the girls show their sheep. They did great and I’m so happy we got to watch them!

We stayed in the motorhome on the street in front of my parents’ house while in Lebanon. The neighbors all said they didn’t mind and we were able to level the RV pretty easily using the curb and our levelers. There are some spots to stay in the area as part of one of our memberships, but staying right at their house let us have more time to visit. And let me and my mom watch trash TV together later each night. 🙂

Dinner and drinks with mom and stepdad Ron, Nephew Joe, and his wife Taryn

Taryn and I felt pretty tough on their fancy new motorized scooters. These were so fun and now I want one!

My sister Lisa passed away in 2007 at 35 years old. We were in Lebanon on the 14th anniversary of her death and went with my parents to the cemetery to visit.

In a lot of ways, she’s why I’m living the life I am. I’ve learned that you can’t wait to live the life you want, so it’s time to do it now! Luckily I found a husband who has learned the same thing.

Gar Bishop was my sister’s partner for many years and we lost him the same year, to cancer. We miss them both very much.

One last look at these cuties, my sister’s grandchildren. I love these three so much!
