Family Time in Boise
Vlade and I got up early to watch the fish feeding off the top of the Snake River at Canyon Springs. A nesting pair of Osprey were patrolling the river but we didn’t see them catch their breakfast.
It was an easy ride into Boise. We checked into our Boondockers Welcome hosts in Nampa once we arrived and chatted awhile. They were very welcoming and even provided us with a 30 amp hook up. This was a lifesaver as the temps were well above 100 and we needed to run the AC.
Once we were settled, we drove into Meridian to see my cousins and Aunt. We hadn’t seen them since we came through on our move to Detroit. A lot of life has happened in those 5 short years. Some good, some bad. When you catch up with good family you always find a way to laugh through it, though. As we were leaving, my cousin’s family got bad news and our visit had to be cut short.
We spent the next day exploring the Boise area. The next morning we cut out, bound for Steens Mountain, Oregon.
