Catching Up with the Boys and Portland Friends
We’ve been back and forth between Lebanon and Portland a few times, and have gotten to catch up with lots of folks. It’s been wonderful to see everyone and get some quality time in, and we’re here most of the summer so we have even more time coming!
Here are some pix of the first bit of visiting…
First we spent an evening at Edgefield with Alex, Daylan, and our daughter-in-law Lauren. Nick had to work late, so we didn’t get to see him until the next day.
The next morning, Nick and Mike golfed the par three course at Edgefield. Then I met them for lunch.
It was so great to catch up with the kids in person! We always have fun with them, and miss them tons. During the pandemic there were several months that we were able to Zoom weekly and see each other that way. But in person is always better!
And here are some pics with friends (and one cousin who’s a friend and family, and one of my most favorites). We didn’t take nearly enough pictures, so some folks are missing, but you get the idea… our friends are awesome, and we had fun!
Me and Hillari, she wouldn’t stop hugging, so this is basically what we looked like all evening Me and Jess.
Picture take from the International Space Station.
Friend Brian turned 50, so we celebrated with a Michigan beer tasting, pizza, and lots of making fun of him…
These friends from the two gatherings pictured here, are the group we have been lucky enough to stay in close touch with all through the pandemic. (Two are missing from the pix, but were there!). We have done a weekly Zoom night almost every single week starting in March 2020, until Mike and I arrived in Portland area… now we’re trying to have in-person time instead when we can!
